Performance Creative Lead

Remote (US) Full-time Reports to the CMO $70,000 to $85,000 starting

Most creative leads are brand custodians who measure success in polish. Most performance creatives are conversion machines who erode a brand to chase a click. We are hiring the person who refuses to choose.

You will own the visual identity of OPEX, CoachRx, and LearnRx, and be held to the same standard as the rest of marketing: trials, signups, engagement, efficiency. The brand aesthetic should match the quality of the products. That is the job.

What you'll own

The visual world of three brands.

01

The visual identity for OPEX, CoachRx, and LearnRx, and an AI-enabled design system the whole team builds on

02

Social-first creative that wins organically and scales into paid

03

Website visual identity and on-page conversion (we build in Framer)

04

The visual world of our email strategy and four core brand newsletters

05

Campaigns, co-developed with the CMO from concept through full asset system

06

Event and experiential creative for OPEX Live

07

The brand standard across everything we put into the world

How we'll measure it

Outcomes, not output volume. Lower cost per acquisition. Attracting the right coaches, not just more coaches. Email engagement that measurably lifts. Websites that convert better, not just look better. A design system the team actually uses. Winning creative as a steady stream, not one-off hits.

The fit

Genuinely both, or neither.

You're a fit if you

  • +Are genuinely both: a brand and design-system thinker and a performance creative with numbers to show for it
  • +Have built or owned a design system others used day to day
  • +Read performance data and let it shape what you make next
  • +Use AI creative tooling to scale output without lowering the standard
  • +Design hands-on across web, social, email, and events; Framer experience is a plus, or you'll learn it fast
  • +Can take strategic direction and return a visual world, then defend it with reasoning

You're not a fit if you

  • ×Treat performance as someone else's problem
  • ×Would trade long-term brand credibility for a short-term click
  • ×Need a fully spec'd brief for every asset
How we work

Outcomes, not hours logged.

Fully remote, small team, high leverage. Every seat here creates outsized impact or it does not exist. We run on trust and personal responsibility. We put AI on the busywork so humans can do the creative, judgment-heavy work, and this role is expected to live that.

Healthcare stipend

$200 / month

401(k) company match

4% max, after one year

Gym membership

Covered

Annual team retreat

1x per year

Location

Remote (US)

Time away

Flexible, no accrual math
$70,000 to $85,000starting salary, depending on experience

Starting is the operative word. Compensation is reviewed every year and tied to your performance and the company's. On a team this small, your work moves the bottom line in a way it cannot at a big company. Do great work, help the business win, and you share in that.

How to apply

Portfolio required. Then answer these.

We read every answer, and short, direct, honest answers beat long polished ones.

01

Share your portfolio.

Then point us to the one piece you're proudest of and tell us what it did in-market. Numbers welcome.

02

Name a number you personally moved.

Not your team, you. What was it before you touched it, what was it after, and what exactly did you make?

03

Our ugliest ad is our best performer.

It's been winning for six weeks and it makes you wince. Walk us through exactly what you do, and when.

04

AI can produce decent design right now, and we use it aggressively.

Make the case for why we should pay you a salary instead of a subscription.

05

Find the worst piece of creative we currently have in market.

Look at opexfit.com, coachrx.app, and our Instagram accounts. Tell us why it probably exists, and what you'd ship in its place.

06

What's your relationship to fitness, coaching, or training?

There's no wrong answer, but we live this stuff and want to know a bit about your own fitness practice.
